The Challenge
East Midlands Academy Trust operates seven schools and originally approached us and our sister company, JustEvents, to help them with their yearly 'Olympics Sports Day' event, which then evolved into more projects such as creating recruitment video productions to help a few of their schools attract more top talent to work with them.
The yearly 'Olympic Sports Day' event is a large, multi-week event that requires multiple days filming, 3 individual video outputs, live streaming, big screen feeds, drone footage, and fast turnarounds.
With multiple moving parts and different teams involved, we worked with East Midlands Academy Trust to provide everything required and successfully secured the contract in 2025 to supply the exact same outputs.
How We've Helped
Large-Format Event Support
- We managed filming across multiple days and locations, capturing key moments and coordinating live feeds for both YouTube and big-screen displays, creating 3 videos in total. 1 for week one (a torch relay with multiple schools), week 2 (Ability Games) and week 3 (Olympic Day).
- We delivered professional drone footage, organised a 3 roaming camera live team to stream the event on YouTube with a large format screen for on-site viewing and executed fast turnarounds of the final videos to share as soon as possible.
Recruitment Video Series
- We produced brief, impactful videos tailored to attract the right candidates by highlighting benefits of working at the school, overlaid with relevant footage.
- The videos were provided in vertical formats to run social media ad campaigns on, and also in landscape formats to allow EMAT to upload to their website as a stand-alone video.
Ongoing Collaboration & Impact
- We maintained regular feedback loops to adapt and refine our strategy as EMAT's needs evolved.
- We captured a library of footage over the year or so of working together to be able to re-use content where necessary.
