The Challenge
HCR Law has offices across the country, and a marketing team covering everything from start-up programmes and podcasts to recruitment and rugby sponsorship.
What they needed wasn't one big video. They needed a crew they could call for whatever came next, in whichever office it happened, who already understood the brand and how the firm likes to work.
Our first project came through Tyler Lawrence, then HCR's Head of Marketing and Business Development: filming for the firm's partnership with Northampton Saints in April 2025. From there, the work spread across the marketing, talent and business development teams.
How We've Helped
Client Case Studies & Events
- Filmed client case studies in a one-day shoot in autumn 2025.
- Covered a fireside chat in London in September 2025 with two videographers and three cameras.
- Filmed a netball event in Worcester at short notice in May 2026.
Podcast Production
- Filmed "Resolving family business disputes" in Worcester with Peter Brewer, Partner in Dispute Resolution, and George Bryan, Family Business Adviser, on two cameras.
- Delivered the full episode, social clips in 16:9 and 9:16, and audio files for podcast platforms.
Impact55 Start-Up Programme
- Filmed HCR's Impact55 judging day at its Cambridge office in February 2026.
- Produced videos for the winner and runners-up, a judging-day round-up and a campaign video. First edits went over the day after the winner was announced.
Recruitment Campaigns
HCR wanted recruitment video that showed what it's really like to work at the firm, told by the people who work there, in formats that could run for weeks on LinkedIn. It was briefed in as a 12-week employer brand campaign.
- Cheltenham Private Client: filmed the team in a single day in March 2026. Delivered one main recruitment film, five social cut-downs and five complimentary bonus videos (one person per video), with first drafts a week after filming.
- Leamington Spa new office: filmed seven people in May 2026. Delivered a long-form film, a 30-second version and three one-minute edits, with first drafts three days after filming and every visible screen and document blurred. The main film was approved five days after the shoot.
- London office: a campaign of four themed films with 14 people, being filmed in November 2026.
"Lineout to Law" with Northampton Saints
- Filmed Saints and England player Alex Coles in conversation with Dominic Hopkins, Partner and Joint Head of Central England at HCR, about what rugby and law have in common.
- Delivered a hero film and three themed cuts (Preparation, Pressure, Routes into Law), each with and without an intro and as a captioned vertical: 12 files in all.
The Results
- Nine projects across HCR's offices since the first Saints film, with each new office or campaign coming to us directly.
- The Cheltenham recruitment films ran as a 12-week campaign on HCR's main LinkedIn page from April 2026.
- Leamington Spa went from shoot day to approved main film in five days.
Building a Lasting Partnership
What started as one Saints film has become a firm-wide partnership, and recruitment video has become a repeatable format HCR can roll out office by office.
Every job starts with a quick brief and a crew HCR already knows. Whether it's a podcast in Worcester, a start-up programme in Cambridge, a recruitment film in Leamington Spa or a rugby shoot in Northampton, HCR get the same people, the same standards and quick turnarounds.
